Council votes to bid $88,920 liquid fuels paving project

PA NEW BERLIN — New Berlin Borough Council advances $88,920 street-paving bid. The Council voted unanimously to advertise for bid a liquid fuels project to pave Cedar Alley and Church Alley, with bids to be opened at the next meeting. The borough also received a $5,000 grant from the Susquehanna River Valley Visitors Bureau for its fireworks event.

Council is pursuing a Walkable Communities Grant for the Vine and Market Street intersection crosswalk, pending clarification on matching-fund eligibility with assistance from state grant assessor Jenna Sassaman. The New Berlin Municipal Authority approved a $37,000 repair for the Teaberry Pump Station.
